Welcome

The purpose of the Colloquium is to bring together the mathematical community of New Zealand while welcoming overseas visitors to join us.

Time will be dedicated to the discussion of all aspects of pure and applied mathematics.

Talks will be given by internationally recognised leaders in the field and also by emerging researchers and postgraduate students.

Keynote Speakers

Registration

Online registration is available from 12 August 2010. An early-bird discount is applicable until 31 October.

Registration formalities and late registrations will take place on Monday 6 December from 5 pm along with an informal reception.

Venue

St David’s lecture complex

Dinner

The Colloquium Dinner has been organized for 7.30 pm on Wednesday at the historic Larnach Castle on Otago Peninsula. Transport to and from the city has been arranged.

Please notify us in advance of any special dietary requirements you may have for this and other catering during the Colloquium.

Accommodation

A range of campus and nearby accommodation is available. Early booking is advisable as Graduation is also taking place in the week of 6 December.

Transport

The airport is 22km from the city and there are two options for transport into town: taxis (approx $80) or shuttle vans (approx $25).

Southern Taxis, the University’s preferred provider, offers Colloquium delegates a reduced airport-Dunedin-airport shuttle fare of $17 each way. To ensure that there is a vehicle available when you arrive, please email your arrival time to southerntaxis@xtra.co.nz. You will be met by someone holding a board with your name on it.

Southern Taxis also offers delegates a 10% discount on local taxi work during the period of the conference.
